I didn’t go to the gym this morning either. The good news is that I think I’ll be healthy again for next week… the bad news is that I haven’t made progress in the past two weeks and actually gained a couple. Sucks.

Week 5: ???
I didn’t go to the gym today so I couldn’t weigh in… it wasn’t a good week since I got sick and became lax on the food as well.

Week 4: 279.5 (-1.5)
Hooray! I lost 1.5 lbs this week even while I went out to lunch a couple of times at work and enjoyed a couple pieces of my wife’s awesome cake!
If the baby comes on time and I can pick up the pace slightly, I’ll make my goal of losing 20 in the first 2 months!

Week 3: 281 (-0.5)
I think I slacked up a bit this week because I skipped the gym one day and wasn’t as committed to a strict diet as evidenced by the Sweet Tomato’s, Jersey Mike’s, and La Cubanita. The good news is that I am still down .5 lb for the week which is better than staying the same or gaining.
I knew the 5 lbs per week wouldn’t last, but I would like to see around 1.5 – 2 a week consistently. Tomorrow night is Texas Cattle Co. which will be my bad meal of the week… I need to stick to the one bad meal as opposed to the fiasco that was last weekend.

Week 2: 281.5 (-5)
I lost 5 lbs this week! I think I am doing well building good habits now… I went to the gym 5 days a week, 2 weeks in a row even on morning where I really had to struggle to get out of bed. I’m also resisting the temptations and urges to eat poorly and making much better choices about what to put in my body. Finally, although I don’t see a difference or feel one physically, I do feel better because of I committed and having success. I know the rapid loss can’t be maintained indefinitely, but it sure feels good for now!

Week 1: 286.5 (-5.5)
I lost 5.5 lbs this week! Not too shabby for my first week, but I know that the more over you are the faster it comes off.
Hopefully coming out of this weekend I won’t have gained it all back after (hopefully) Marc takes us to Capital Grille for a nice dinner.
I spent a lot of time this weekend concentrating on working out and eating right. I dunno if this will be the norm or if it’ll just become “natural”. Time will tell.
